This years is the 50th year this festival has been held. So I’m confident to say that this years could be the best! Let’s hope the rain stays away! (><)

The port area of Otaru will be where this grand event takes place. There will be dancing, drums, fireworks, and much more.
On the 30th a special “Tide” dance will be held where roughly 10,000 people from around the area will take part! Why not have a go yourself!

今年で50回目のおたる潮まつりは、最高に盛り上がると思います。
踊り、太鼓、花火、出店など港エリアを中心に盛大に行われます。
30日に行われる潮ねりこみ（踊り）は、約１万人の市民が踊り歩き、見応えがありますよ。
