Sapporo’s Odori Park, already covered in white thanks to the city’s active early winter, has been transformed into a snowy construction site, with large scaffolding structures forming bases that will be transformed into the upcoming snow festival’s famous sculptures. Visitors can get a fairly close look — just stay on the safe side of the cones and watch out for heavy machinery. Have a better shot? Email it in and I’ll post it to the blog.
